On Monday 26th May 2025 a delegation of the Gambia Police Forces led by the Inspector General Seedy Mukhtar Touray and their Senegalese counterpart paid a courtesy visit to H.E the High Commissioner.
In his opening remarks, H. E. the High Commissioner started by welcoming the IGP and his team, the Senegalese counterpart and highlighted the cordial relationships between The Gambia and Senegal. He acknowledged the support of Senegalese authorities in facilitating the return of illegal migrants. The High Commissioner, H. E. Mr. Sidibeh further expressed gratitude to the Senegalese authorities for their continuous support in the repatriation of Gambian migrants stuck at the Mauritania-Senegal border recently (2025).
The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Touray, in turn, thanked the High Commissioner and His staff for receiving the delegation. He also expressed gratitude to his Senegalese counterpart for the warm reception giving to him and his team since their arrival in Dakar. He thanked the High Commissioner, especially on their timing intervention on migrants issues.
